# Shipping timelines, tracking, and returns on Handcraft

> Understand how handmade objects ship from maker studios, what to expect for custom jewelry delivery, and how returns work on Handcraft.

Handmade objects do not move through warehouses. When you order on Handcraft, your piece ships from the artisan's own studio — or, in the case of custom jewelry, directly from the Danish workshop where it was made. This means timelines work differently from mass-produced goods: some pieces are held in studio stock and dispatched shortly after your order is confirmed; others are made to order and require additional time before they are ready to ship.

## Shipping timelines

### Ready-made pieces

Ready-made objects — ceramics, clothing, bags, home objects, art, and ready-to-ship jewelry — are dispatched from the maker's studio once your order is confirmed. Each listing shows the maker's estimated dispatch window, which varies by maker and their current workload.

<Info>
  Timelines vary by maker. You will receive shipping updates by email once your order is dispatched.

### Custom jewelry

Custom jewelry requires additional time before it is ready to ship. The full timeline includes:

* Goldsmith review and design confirmation (within 24 hours of placing your order)
* Production in the Danish workshop
* Video approval by you before dispatch

The expected production window is communicated at order confirmation. Once your piece is approved and dispatched, you will receive tracking information by email.

## Custom jewelry delivery

After you have reviewed and approved the video of your completed piece, it is carefully packaged and shipped to your address. Handcraft custom jewelry is packaged to the standard of the piece — your order arrives ready to give or wear.

If you prefer not to wait for delivery, you are welcome to collect your piece in person from the Copenhagen workshop. Let us know at [craft@wedohandcraft.com](mailto:craft@wedohandcraft.com) and we will arrange it.

## Returns

### Ready-made pieces

Handcraft objects are made by independent artisans who produce in small batches. Please review each listing carefully before placing your order — product descriptions, materials, and dimensions are included to help you make an informed choice.

If your order arrives damaged or there is a problem with the piece, contact [craft@wedohandcraft.com](mailto:craft@wedohandcraft.com) with your order details and we will work with you and the maker to resolve it.

### Custom-designed pieces

<Warning>
  Custom-made pieces cannot be returned unless there is a defect, since they are created specifically for you.
</Warning>

Because custom jewelry is made to your exact design and specification, it is not eligible for return once approved and dispatched — except in the case of a defect or error on our part. This is why the video approval step exists: to make sure you are completely satisfied before your piece leaves the workshop.

If you have a concern about a custom piece after delivery, contact [craft@wedohandcraft.com](mailto:craft@wedohandcraft.com) and we will investigate.

<Note>
  If you have any questions about shipping or your order, email [craft@wedohandcraft.com](mailto:craft@wedohandcraft.com) — we aim to respond within one business day.
