Handcraft lets you design your own jewelry and have it made by hand in Denmark. You describe your idea — or sketch it out in the design studio — and the AI generates a visual representation you can refine until it feels right. Once you place your order, a single Danish goldsmith takes over and crafts your piece from start to finish using traditional techniques and sustainably sourced European materials. The result is a unique piece made specifically for you.

How the process works

1

Open the design studio and describe your idea

Go to wedohandcraft.com and open the design studio. Describe what you have in mind — “a slim gold ring with a small emerald” or “a pendant inspired by a specific memory” — or sketch your idea directly in the tool.
2

Refine your design with AI

The AI generates a detailed visual representation of your idea within seconds. Tweak the details, adjust materials or proportions, or start fresh — all in real time. When the design feels right, you’re ready to order.
3

Place your order

Submit your design and complete checkout. Your order goes to our goldsmiths for review within 24 hours.
4

Goldsmiths confirm your design

Our team reviews your design to confirm it can be crafted as intended. In the rare case a design cannot be made — fewer than 1% of orders — you receive an immediate full refund. No questions asked.
5

A single goldsmith crafts your piece

One goldsmith takes responsibility for your piece from start to finish in a Danish workshop. This traditional approach ensures consistent attention to detail and artistic integrity throughout the process.
6

You're consulted if any adjustments are needed

If a small adjustment is required during crafting — for example, strengthening a delicate detail — we will email you right away to discuss the options before continuing.
7

Video approval before shipping

Once your piece is complete, you receive a detailed video. Review it and approve, or arrange a visit to our Copenhagen workshop to see your piece in person before it ships.
8

Your piece is packaged and shipped

After your approval, your piece is carefully packaged and dispatched. You will receive tracking information by email.

What makes custom Handcraft jewelry special

Every custom piece on Handcraft is made with a clear set of commitments — to craftsmanship, materials, and the people involved. One goldsmith, start to finish. Your piece is not passed between makers. A single goldsmith takes ownership of your design from the first mark to the final polish, combining traditional goldsmithing techniques with modern precision tools. Materials sourced exclusively from Europe. We do not compromise on where materials come from. Every metal, stone, and component used in your piece is sourced from verified European suppliers. Lab diamonds from Belgium, 100% carbon neutral. When your design includes lab-grown diamonds, they are sourced from Belgium and are fully carbon neutral — identical in composition to natural diamonds, without the environmental and ethical costs of mining. Conflict-free natural diamonds and gemstones. All natural diamonds and gemstones used in Handcraft pieces are conflict-free and fully traceable, sourced from suppliers who meet our ethical standards. Traceable gold. The gold in your piece comes from verified suppliers with full traceability. No exceptions.

Our guarantee

Fewer than 1% of designs cannot be crafted as submitted. If yours is one of them, you receive an immediate full refund — no waiting, no partial credits.
You approve your piece before it ships. The video review step is not optional — we do not dispatch anything until you have seen your piece and confirmed you’re happy with it. If you prefer to see it in person, you are welcome to visit the Copenhagen workshop at any point. For questions about your design at any stage of the process, email craft@wedohandcraft.com.
