The art collection on Handcraft brings together original works and decorative objects by Danish artists and makers. These are not prints or reproductions — they are handcrafted one-offs and very small runs, made by hand using ceramic, glass, and mixed materials. Owning one means owning something that cannot simply be reordered.

What you will find

The collection includes wall ceramics, sculptural figurines, glass art, decorative objects, and artist books. The range spans the intimate — a small ghost figurine sitting on a shelf — to more substantial wall pieces that anchor a room.

Notable makers

  • Studio Arhoj — perhaps the most collectable maker in the collection; their ghost series, crystal blobs, and ceramic figurines have built a dedicated following; pieces are produced in very small runs and sell quickly
  • Studio Aarhus — wall ceramics and ceramic fragments with a painterly, textural quality
  • Marianne Nielsen — the ceramic leaf wall series; individual cast leaves arranged on a wall, each piece unique
  • Tobias Möhl — glass art with a sculptural presence, where the material itself is part of the work
  • Henrik Stenberg — original artworks including paintings and mixed-media pieces

Collector value

Because these works are made by hand in very small numbers, they carry genuine collector value. Many makers do not produce the same piece twice — once a series is gone, it is gone. If you are drawn to a particular piece, it is worth acting on it rather than waiting.
Many art pieces on Handcraft are one-of-a-kind or produced in runs of just a few. Once sold, they are unlikely to be restocked. Product pages will show current availability, but there is no guarantee a piece will return.
