The leather goods on Handcraft are made by hand by Danish craftspeople using quality leather sourced from European tanneries. Every cut, stitch, and edge finish is done by hand using traditional leatherworking tools. The result is a product that will outlast most alternatives and develop its own character — vegetable-tanned leather darkens naturally with use, picking up a patina that reflects how and where it has been carried.
What you will find
The collection covers functional everyday leather accessories: tote bags, card holders, key lanyards, key pouches, notebook covers, glasses cases, and cable organizers. These are objects built to be used daily, not kept on a shelf.
Notable makers
Silleknotte, founded by Iben Friis Alexandersen in 2011 at her Frederiksberg workshop, is the standout leatherworker in the collection. She works exclusively with vegetable-tanned harness leather from Italian, German, Austrian, Swiss, and Scandinavian tanneries. Her range includes the FOLD mini leather basket, LEA and CHRISSY key lanyards, KARL key pouch, FELBY glasses case, NOTE notebook cover, and CHARLIE cable organizers. Several pieces also incorporate Kvadrat fabric alongside the leather for a refined finish.
Rhanders brings another Danish leather tradition to the collection, with goods crafted from quality hides.
Silleknotte’s range is worth exploring if you are looking for everyday carry accessories that will last for years. The pieces are functional first — key pouches, card holders, cable organizers — but the leather quality and hand-finishing set them apart from what you would find in a typical accessories shop.
